Whom does the We Care Thrift Store Support?
We Care Thrift Stores are owned by and operate as a vital part of the ministry of We Care Program (link to wecareprogram.org?), generating funds for the purpose of ministering to incarcerated men and women in correctional facilities. Donations of clothing and miscellaneous items are delivered to the stores by the surrounding communities. They are then sorted, processed, and sold. After expenses, one hundred percent of the net proceeds goes directly toward the support of We Care’s prison chaplaincy services.

Are your locations wheelchair accessible?
Yes, each location is fully wheel-chair accessible.
Do you offer estate or large item pickup services?
No. We are unable to provide routine pick up service at this time. If you have a real estate sale to clean up, we may be able to make an exception. Please call us to discuss this at 251-368-8818.
Do you offer a tax receipt for my donations?
Your merchandise donations are tax deductible to the extent allowable by law. We will provide a tax receipt upon your request.
How should I prepare my donations?
We ask that you place clothing, bed linens, and table linens in large plastic bags. Please place your other donations in boxes that have lids or are able to be closed. This enables your donated items to stay clean, dry, and secure on our trucks and in our warehouses. Please wrap/secure all cords to lamps and small appliances. All items that are too large to fit in a box will be properly secured in our trucks by our truck crews.
Can I support We Care Thrift Stores besides bringing donations?
Absolutely! We welcome assistance through volunteering. Please call or click here to fill out an online application for volunteering
